Baguio City Host Lions Club and Maharlika Lions Club International Twinning Ceremonies
It was a night of fellowship and a celebration of new friendships, as Baguio City Host Lions Club (District 301-C) and Maharlika Lions Club of Sacramento, California (District 4-C5) forged formal ties during the International Club Twinning ceremonies held at the Opal Room of Hotel Supreme, Baguio City.
BCHLC President Mark Jefferson Ng and MLC President Vickie Debord signed the international club twinning agreement and was witnessed upfront by MLC and BCHLC Past District Governors and Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan, who is also a member of BCHLC.
The night’s emcees, Lion Melanie Ku Marquez and Lion Nikko Jayson Go, gave a brief background on how Maharlika Lions Club from California and Baguio City Host Lions Club from the Philippines got together – through the Internet, of course. Lion Mark Bamba of both MLC and Silicon Valley Golferslink and Lion Charmaine Chan of BCHLC, the two Lions who often coordinated matters of the twinning and the joint project in Camp 7 over the Internet, also presented short backgrounds on their respective clubs.
